This manhole handles over 7 millions gallons of wastewater per day for the City Fargo ND. The concrete in this structure was previous coated with an epoxy coating at the time of installation. Due to poor coating procedures this coating failed allowing H2S gas to deteriorate the concrete behind the coating. In 2018 Innovative was commissioned to remove existing coating, repair the deteriorated sections of concrete and apply Zebron coating to the thickness of 150 mils. The entire rehabitlaton process was done without interrupting normal city sanitary service. The lift station was shut down at 8pm reducing the flow from the 4 miles of 36” force main itno the vortex manhole during the working hours of 10pm to 5am.
